From figures to filing in three clear steps.

Taxrails is being designed around the way small UK companies actually file: bring in the company and accounting data, review the calculations and documents, then submit from one guided flow.

01

Bring in the numbers

Find the company, choose the accounting period and enter or import the figures. Core company details are brought in from Companies House so the return starts with the right legal entity and dates.

Company + period
02

Review the return

Taxrails turns the figures into a corporation tax calculation and filing-ready annual accounts. Review every number, see how the tax has been calculated and resolve anything that needs attention before submission.

03

File and keep the record

Submit the CT600 to HMRC and the annual accounts to Companies House from the same workflow. Follow each response and keep the filed documents together for the company record.

Two filings · one flow

Everything needed to file. Nothing in the way.

The first release is focused on straightforward UK micro-company accounts and corporation tax. Its scope will be tested with early users before launch.

Company data pre-fill

Start with registered name, number, address and accounting dates from Companies House instead of entering the same details again.

Trial balance import

Bring in a trial balance from a spreadsheet and map the figures into a clear accounts and tax workflow.

Corporation tax calculation

Build the CT600 calculation alongside the accounts, with the working shown clearly enough to review before filing.

iXBRL annual accounts

Generate filing-ready micro-entity accounts with the structured tagging required for electronic submission.

Two-authority filing

Handle the Companies House accounts and HMRC corporation tax return together, while keeping each submission status visible.

Documents and history

Keep computations, accounts, acknowledgements and filed copies together, organised by company and accounting period.

Built for straightforward company tax.

Taxrails is for UK micro-companies that need proper filing software without adopting a full bookkeeping suite. It is being shaped around the annual job: turn finished figures into accounts and a corporation tax return, check them carefully, file them and keep the evidence.

The initial release is deliberately narrow. It will focus on straightforward micro-entity accounts and CT600 returns; specialist claims, complex groups and unusual reliefs will stay outside early access until they can be handled with the same clarity.
